I had to do it

The challenge was just too great.

Here I go. Darn sun was right on top of my head.

Bottoms up. I live for another adventure. (no; a life guard did not fish me out)

First port of call

The first day of the cruise we were at sea all day and the pool area was quite full.

I elected to stay on the ship instead of going ashore in Progreso, Yucatan. Quite a change of scenery at the pool.

Suzanne elected to go ashore and enjoy the ocean.

First night dinner on cruise

Table for 14 please.

You can click on the pictures for a blow up.

First day of cruise

The children sneaked into our cabin and hung this banner. It stayed up for the whole trip.

Prior to boarding the ship

We walked over to Jackson Square.

And of course we had to go to Cafe DU Monde

Made it to New Orleans

And the first thing we did was go for the PoBoy oyster sandwich.

Start of cruise trip

Our first stop on the way to the cruise trip in New Orleans for our 50th anniversary was in Montgomery, AL to see the state capital.

The Alabama state flag is quite different from the other states. The state flag is a crimson cross of St. Andrew and was adopted in 1895. It is sometimes believed the flag was designed to resemble the blue satire of the confederate battle flag.

All of the state flags are displayed.

Happy 50th Wedding Anniversary

Have you ever seen a 50 year old candle?

We light it every year on our anniversary.

Reinhardt Softball

The Reinhardt softball Ladies came out sixth in the nation in the final polls today. Not bad for six of the nine starters were freshman and we have a very small college.

My favorite picture this year.

Graduation Day - day 2 (actual graduation)

Hunter waits his turn to receive his diploma.

Here he is walking back after receiving his diploma.

Graduation trip - day 1

We traveled to Lubbock, TX for our grandson's (Hunter) high school graduation.

We stayed at our favorite Embassy Suites Hotel where we always stay on our trips to Lubbock.

This view is looking right out from our hotel room on the top floor.

The manager's special runs every night from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.

Music speakers are hidden all around the area.
